Why switch to renewable solar energy

First and the most important reason is, renewable solar energy resources are available year after year in steady amounts in all over the globe. They are our most reliable resource, and they are free and renewable. They are no finite like coal, oil, natural gas or nuclear energy.

Next big advantage of renewable solar energy technology is that, with few exceptions, fuel is free and it’s not under the control of government, corporation or oil cartels.

Right now passive solar energy heating, passive cooling and solar energy production in rural areas or inaccessible regions are frequently cost-competitive alternatives to fossil fuels.

They’re not controlled by government or any corporations either. For one, renewable solar energy and other renewable energy fuels constitute only a small portion of our current energy production and consumption so they have fewer people to promote their advantages. But that is starring to change with the efforts of progressive governments and big companies. On the other hank fact is that renewable solar energy is often actively lobbied against by oil the fossil fuel cartels. Solar energy future won’t be easy without strong support.
Research and development is poorly funded in most countries, like the US or Canada compared to conventional non-renewable fuels. Luckily there are exceptions in Europe for example several countries such as Germany, Spain, UK and Holland are making great efforts to tap into renewable energy.
